Some of the commercially important crops grown in greenhouses require low temperatures and high humidity, which are often very critical. This is particularly true for flowering crops, orchid, vegetables and all nurseries.
Fog is suspension of water molecules in lower levels of atmosphere. The fog particles evaporate and result in cooling. The smaller the water molecules, the faster is their evaporation, and consequently the higher the rate of cooling and efficiency.
The foggers are placed above the crop and are distributed uniformly throughout the greenhouse to achieve uniform dispersion of fog. This leads to uniform cooling and humidification.
