Ultra Low Volume Drip irrigation
Main system advantages :
  • Low water application rates.
  • Uniform water distribution.
  • Optimal soil-water-plant relationship which is beneficial to the plant's root system development.
  • Ideal water uptake.
  • Improved lateral water movement in the growing media - reduces salt accumulation.
  • Optimum fertilizer and water usage.

Application :
  • In greenhouses where crops are grown on detached media
  • in orchards irrigated with the "Loop" system.
System Description :
  • Plastro's Hydrogol ULP12mm integral driplines are laid along each of the two plant rows on the bed. The emitters are spaced every 20 cm along the dripline.

  • A third line, connected to the submain, is laid down at the center of the bed, between the two driplines. This is the "supply" line.

  • The flow-regulated No-Drain Supertif are inserted on the supply line and serve as master drippers each feeding a certain number of Hydrogol ULP emitters.

  • The required low flow rate of the Hydrogol ULP emitters is determined by the number of Hydrogol emitters fed from one master dripper.

  • Flow rate calculation example : Master dripper flow rate of 4.0 l/h feeds 13 Hydrogol emitters - 4.0 lph: 13=0.307 lph

Specifications :

Integral Hydrogol ULP12mm dripline
  • O.D.:12mm, I.D.: 10.4mm
  • Recommended emitter spacing: 20cm
  • Emitters are especially remarkable for their large water passages in relation to their low nominal flow rate.
  • Each emitter is furnished with a large surface inlet filter.

Master emitter Supertif N.D.
  • Flow rates: 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 8.0, 11.5 lph
  • Operating pressure range : 0.8 - 3.5 bar

Feeders tubes 3x5 mm distribute water from the master dripper to 12 mm dripline.
